Brainerd, Minn., April 6, 2020 - The Teehive, Brainerd Minnesota’s premier customizable print shop specializing in T-shirts and dance costumes has recently pivoted its business operations during this time of the COVID 19 global pandemic. Recognizing the shortage in face masks around the world, especially for hospitals, nursing homes and first responders, their team of trusted leaders was able to react quickly to the growing need for a better option. “When we heard hospitals at various cities were telling their doctors to wear a bandana to protect them from the virus, we knew there just HAD to be a better alternative” says Ian Ulrich, the company’s Marketing Director and new “face” of the their face mask initiative. “By creating a reusable, washable mask with a pocket that you can insert an optional filter, we feel we’re giving people a better chance at protecting themselves and helping to slow the spread of this virus and the crippling effect it’s had on our world.”
The masks are 100% polyester, no elastic, with 36" ties. The Teehive has made them
available on their website in various bundles to accommodate the needs of both the general public as well as huge hospitals and essential businesses that are on the front lines of defense.
The huge success this has been in such a short time wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the Brainerd Lakes community. The Teehive has received numerous calls, facebook messages and emails pouring in from contract sewers and volunteers alike dedicated to do their part as well in helping with the Teehive’s efforts. “All I can say is ‘WOW’. What a legendary community we live in. #InItTogether #LakesProud” states Ulrich.
You can help support the Teehive’s efforts in supplying 100,000 masks for first responders by donating to their GoFundMe page:
